Replicagri 1/32 Berthoud Tenor Sprayer

As we had some good weather for a few days, the sprayers have been out in force so I am going to review the new Berthoud Tenor 55-60 sprayer.This replica is produced by a new company to the market, Replicagri. They have a number of well-detailed machines on the market now and continue to produce models of good durability and detail.

When I first set my eyes on the box I started to see something that I really liked. It was not too difficult to take out of the packaging but still had a lot of protection (wires). With my first serious look at the replica, I was impressed with how solid it looked. I was pleased to see some nice details incorporated into the model which represented a good depiction of the real machine. The PTO, which looks like a real one, is much better than most other models. The booms on the back are all well made, too, and have all the hoses and nozzles on them.

Looking closer at this, I became even more impressed with the finish. It is all done to a very high standard and I’m starting to expect nothing less from this company. I really like the front of this replica because it appears very authentic. I really like the PTO; it looks very realistic with the cross that is attached. When I first looked at the two doors at the front of the sprayer, I was not sure what they were, so I checked the web site for the real machine. Behind the door on the right, I found a hose. The other door has the biologic panel which has two function selection handles for different crops. This detail is impressive in my opinion.

In regards to some of the needs for this replica, I would think a sprayer of this size would need a steering axle on it to get into some fields. This model does not have one which disappointed me. I also think that there could be more detail where the doors open. These are minor faults however.
Overall, this is an impressive model that would look good in any collection. It would stand up to a certain amount of “play” but I would recommend it as a display item only.
