Siku 1/32 Kuhn Rear Combination Mowers

I went to Toytrac last October with a long list of models to buy. On one of the trade stalls I got my first glimpse of this mower set which Siku had recently released. It actually was not on my list to buy, but something drew me to it. And when I had a closer look, I decided to buy it. When I got home I eagerly unpacked it to see if anything was broken or missing. Everything looked in good order which was good news!
The mower comes in a regular, green Siku box with the inner tray made of cardboard which was is a preferred packing style of mine. The model itself is made of diecast metal and plastic; the two mowers have top rams which help the mowers lift up and down and which are useful when driving it along the narrow lanes of Hillside Farm (My Model Farm). The mowers have white skirts all round the base. The underneath of the mower is made of metal with each disc blade made of plastic and able to rotate. To the rear of the mower you can see the red and white warning signs used during transport mode. The model has the manufacturer’s decals and model numbers fitted to the mower.

I really do like this model and think it’s good value for around £18.00. It fits well with the front mounted Kuhn GMD 802F mower which Siku brought out in August 2008. It’s a multipurpose model for collectors, carpet farmers and children alike.

At Hillside Farm we don’t do a lot of mowing because we don’t have large grass fields where you would need something like a Krone Big M harvester. So this should suit us well on our farm. We will be using this kit with our recently purchased McCormick TTX 210 with both front and rear Kuhn mowers.
The model is widely available throughout the UK and is priced around £7.50.

The real machine cuts up to 4 M widths with the combination of front and rear mowers. This enables the operator to achieve exceptional output rates, ideal for the farmer or contractor. The oval shaped discs ensure a quality cut with greater knife overlap which improves ejection of the cut material.
